Ruffles or flounce has a long and regal history but most interesting
to note it originated in 16th century Spain and was a unisex design
worn by both men and women.
Ofcourse by the time of the Victorian age the ruffled look was
everywhere in collars, neckties dresses and the crazy bustles! Today
ruffles are seen as playful with a bit of flirty and that is where our
designers have stepped in to include flounces to spice up our shawls
and ponchos to add just the right touch of "flirty" to the collection.
